This November, many restaurants in Navarra offered special menus to their clients using seasonal winter vegetables and inspired by a new edition of the gastronomy programme “Winter Vegetable Days”, organised by Navarra Restaurant Association and Navarra Hostelry Association.
Gastronomy lovers could enjoy different
meals for lunch or dinner in fifteen Navarran
restaurants based in Pamplona, Tudela, Estella
and other villages, with seasonal vegetables
such as borraja, cardos and artichokes as the
main ingredients. The price of these delicious
menus varied from 20 to 45 € per person and
it included wines produced in la Ribera in the
south of Navarra.
This special initiative that receives sponsorship
of Bodegas Chivite, Banco Popular and Freixenet,
aims to promote the typical food of this area,
as well as to recommend recipes using healthy and tasty vegetables from the land of Navarra.
