FC Osasuna have announced that season tickets for the 2012/2013 season will cost the same as last year, if bought before the 5th of July.

The news was announced at a press conference at the Reyno de Navarra stadium, during a presentation by the club’s season ticket Recruitment and Renewal campaign.  The initiative was presented under the slogan: ‘‘Football changes. Our feelings stay the same.’’  Osasuna relies on a core base of local supporters to fill its 20,000 capacity stadium, so it is of no surprise to see the campaign focusing a loyalty theme for this season.

Although the decision will have been influenced by the financial situation the average Navarran will be experiencing, the success of last year’s campaign means Osasuna continue to provide good value for money for its fans.  The team finished seventh in La Liga last season, narrowly missing out on a lucrative Europa League spot, while recording a fifth successive year of improved league finishes.

The club will hope that the price freeze will be seen as a sign of good will towards its fans, and that it will be repaid in kind by increased sales at the ticket offices over the coming weeks.

Osasuna are renowned for hosting an intimidating atmosphere comparable to English football stadia, with results that have been punching above their weight in recent years.

For the media campaign, whose video can be seen above, Osasuna have played on the idea of cosmetic changes of football mirrored against the constant devotion of its fans over the years.

Details were then announced for how supporters could get hold of a season ticket for next year, with the process forming two phases.  A free phone number will be available until the 5th of July, from 9am to 9pm Monday to Friday, and Saturdays from 10am until 2pm.  Fans can call 900 130 140, and existing members can have their seats renewed automatically.

New supporters will need to go to the Reyno de Navarra stadium offices, from Monday to Friday between 8am and 2pm, in order to choose their seat for the new season.

The second phase will begin on the 16th of July and finish on the 3rd of August, with renewals taking place from Monday to Friday between 8am and 2pm in the club offices.  Customers applying at this time will see a slight price increase on the previous phase.

Any season ticket holders who have not renewed before the 4th of August may lose the right to keep their seat during the 2012/13 campaign.
