Hot on the heels of Juevintxos comes a new initiative to encourage nightlife in Pamplona.
‘Viernes del Cuatro y Media’ (Friday from Half Four) is a scheme involving thirteen bars, which will all offer the same offer of a large spirit and a mixer (known as a cubata) for four euros fifty. It will be trialled throughout June, with plans to reintroduce the offer in September.
Under the scheme, the participating bars will offer branded spirits including Smirnoff Vodka, Cacique Rum, J&B and Johnnie Walker whiskies, José Cuervo tequila, Tanqueray gin and Baileys.
The objective of the scheme is to encourage loyalty among customers through a fixed offer and increase the flow of clientele around the centre on a Friday afternoon. Following the success of the recent reintroduction of Juevintxos and Marvinxtos on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the bar and catering industry will now be hoping for a similar response from the public on Fridays.
Normally a cubata can cost anywhere between five and six euros fifty, so this represents a small saving for drinkers around Navarra.
While the majority of the bars are found in Pamplona, there are two bars to be found outside the capital, in Sangüesa and Tudela respectively.
